Just say NO!!
I am so proud of MacKenzie, she went to a sleep over last night and the girls were going to cross a busy road in the dark at 9:00pm and go ding dong ditching (ringing doorbells and running). well, Kenzie didn't feel safe crossing the road in the dark and she didn't think it was a good idea to do the doorbell thing, so she said NO! I'm not going. The girls were very mad at her but she told them they could go and she would stay at the house but they didn't want to leave her. I was really amazed and proud that she kept her ground and refused to go, but she said they were really MAD! She also couldn't believe they all had cell phones and kept calling and texting people- she thought that was really stupid. I think she may have agreed to go but she knew my story when I was younger a friend and I pranked called people and I was escorted home in a cop car during my parents home and garden show for the small town of Blissfield. She knew there may be a concequence for her action. Yeah! My kids do listen, well sometimes!

HOORAY for Kenzie!
(I'm a friend of your Grandma Joy's.)
Kenzie, What you did was not only brave, but smart. Friends, if they are really your friends will get over being mad. Your conviction to stand your ground may have prevented a bad situation from happening. Trust your instinct, if it feels wrong, chances are that it is wrong.
Way to MacKenzie!
You guys should be very proud of her - what a smart kid and a great role model for her peers.
Oops, I mean Way to GO MacKenzie!
