Babble Brain

Yeah, someone found my blog! I am a 32 yr. mother of three beautiful children and proud wife of my wonderful husband~ Matthew. I am blessed beyond my comprehension! I hope you too will be~ His gift is free if you receive. You have nothing to lose and all to gain! Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace that you are saved, through your faith -not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not by works, so that no one can boast.

Angel Tree

I have done the Angel Tree for years, but this was the first year I saw such need. Matt and I both saw a tag for a 4 year old boy that wanted/needed a pillow. We both looked at each other almost with tears and grabbed the tag. Did he want a pillow or need a pillow? That is what this poor 4 year old is getting for Christmas? I felt humbled and ashamed for all my possesions. I have no idea what it would be like not to have a pillow- we have about 20 pillows in our house. Some tags, were asking for underwear or sheets- obviously these are real needs. I love buying for the Angel Tree- you know these people really need and appreciate the gifts. I wanted to just pick the trees up and carry them to my car and buy all the tags!

Jess,
Me and the boys picked angels off of the tree yesterday at service and I felt the same way....I picked a tag for a 4month old boy that all the mom wanted was diapers, can you believe that diapers....I couldn't imagine. I love the angel tree program as well..Jarred and Logan pick a tag off of the tree and then go with me to buy the present, and use their OWN money, I want to teach them at this young age that Christmas is not just about you it is about the giving of Jesus Christ and how we can make a difference.
