Babble Brain

Yeah, someone found my blog! I am a 32 yr. mother of three beautiful children and proud wife of my wonderful husband~ Matthew. I am blessed beyond my comprehension! I hope you too will be~ His gift is free if you receive. You have nothing to lose and all to gain! Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace that you are saved, through your faith -not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not by works, so that no one can boast.

Children with Hairloss

It was brought to my attention (Thanks Cindy!) I will be supporting this organization from now on rather than Locks of Love (a profit organiztion) charging families outrageuos amount of money for hair for their suffering children! Goes to show, not everything that sounds good , is good. Check out their link to the right and grow your hair for a good cause!!

Money

What is the most amount of money you have ever found or been given back in change?

And did you keep it?

A few years ago I went thru the bank drive thru and cashed some checks, recieved my money and started to pull away. I NEVER ever checked the envelpoes till I got home but something kept telling me to check it, I kept fighting it but finally checked it.

As I was counting, there was 20 after 20 after 20 dollar bills. I had to stop and think a minute about what I cashed and I was only due about 40 some dollars. My first instinct was to keep counting and pull off- no one would know where that money went. And I thought- YES a shopping spree! That was a time we really needed that extra money! Then I saw my kids in the back seat and what a great lesson that was was to teach them!
Yes , I HAD to turn around and I had to somewhat fight with the lady and explain this is not my money- she couldnt understand that I was returning it. BTW it was over $300 she gave me!

Another great lesson, Kenzie found $5 in Krogers so we turned it in knowing the cashier may keep it cuz know one was going to expect someone to turn money in. So in about a week the cashier mailed it to Kenzie cuz no one claimed it.

For some reason we find money all the time! Matt found 10 and 20 dollars at different times at Foodtown just laying on the ground with no one around. We have found gift certifcates and even purses in carts at stores. And always get the wrong change back!

Maybe we find it to return it, I dont know but when we lose something its for good! I dont know why I posted this, I guess im just really bored and thinking about money??!

Unfortunately- I have to admit I have kept more than I was due, I didnt always do the right thing. But now I could never do that! I hate when people say well it was the cashiers fault not mine!!! So I kept it!

Lack or updates

Sorry for the recent lack of updates- you will have to blame it on Pugzie and Lucy. Have you heard of the Webkinz craze??? We are part of it. You cant imagine how long it took me to find these guys. they have kept our kids very busy!!! I can barely get on the computer!

3 more weeks

Kenzie went to the Dr and they cut off her cast but she has to wear it with a ace bandage around it for 3 more weeks cuz it is not healed yet. This is not her in the pic tho. So no volley ball and now no softball. Well less running and less moolah for me!!!

We NEED a Fence

Anyone know anyone who sells or installs fences or the best place to buy one? We need split rail. And soon! Maddi and Mugzie keep running away and we have gained some wandering children.

Tami- tagged ME!

Yes Tami- I still read- sorry I don't comment much.

Here are 7 lesser known facts about me

1. I too am a SLOB with a capital S! I love to clean but I want to do it start to finish or not at all. I hate cleaning in stages. I want to start and finish! Therefore I tend to let things go! I am also a horder!!! I keep everything and Matt throws everything away! I even wash plastic cups and silverware and save it cuz Im cheap or am I thrifty????

2. I am TERRIFIED of bees and all flying and stinging insects!!!! I was stung be a nest in 4th grade and my dad was swatting them off me. I also grew up with stink bugs- very smelly flying buzzing boxelder type bug! If I see a bee near you will see me run like a fool. If one gets in the house- well, I guess Ill stay outside till someone comes along to kill it. I am really, really terrified!

3. I am doublejointed and can turn my arm all the way around- you'd have to see to understand- I normally freak people out by that.

4.I've been married twice. But to the same man. Well not really, Matt tricked me into remarrying him again for our 10th anniversary. Ok- he didnt trick me he surprised me, and we renewed our vows.

5.I am a shopahoilic but a cheap one. I am just attracted to stores!

6. I lOVE FOOD!!! I sleep, dream, think, plan my life around food!

Red Fridays

Red Fridays- Very soon you will see a great many people wearing red every Friday. The reason? Americans who support our troops used to be called the "silent majority". We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for God, country and home in record breaking numbers. Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect starts this Friday and continues each and every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a deafening message that....Every red-blooded American who supports our men and women afar will wear something red. By word of mouth, press, TV- lets make the US on every Friday a sea of red much like a homecoming football game in the bleachers.

If everyone who loves this country shares this with co-workers, friends, and family, it will not be long before the USA is covered in RED and it will let our troops know the once "silent" majority is on their side more than ever.

Wear Red Every Friday!

Thought I would share this- it was in my newsletter from work.
