Babble Brain

Yeah, someone found my blog! I am a 32 yr. mother of three beautiful children and proud wife of my wonderful husband~ Matthew. I am blessed beyond my comprehension! I hope you too will be~ His gift is free if you receive. You have nothing to lose and all to gain! Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace that you are saved, through your faith -not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not by works, so that no one can boast.

first run

I had my first run on the eliptical - a whole 15 mins, I guess its better than nothing. Im feeling OLD and way out of shape!

Thanks Cole!!

God Bless Cole Trickle! What a servants heart this man has! He shows up week after week to lead a group of 1 st grade boys, like 20 of them or something and sometimes without any help. I really don't know how he does it- I have ONE 1st grade boy I can barely handle!

Anyways he gave HIS Nintendo DS away! Braeden has not stopped talking about Cole giving it away. He has wanted one since before Christmas. On our way to church he kept saying how he hopes he wins- and He DID! Braeden believes his prayers worked!

Thanks Cole, for ALL you do!!!!

Our new ride!

We purchased our first ever piece of exeercise equip. I love working out once I get into it, but Im rarely into it! We discovered we need to exercise and that we are not membership people! I have wasted so many memberships to lifestyles then we wasted a family membership to the YMCA. With Maddi being little and naps, its too hard to load everyone up to go workout, it takes so much time. So we both wanted an eliptical, so hopefully we can motivate each other to get on it. It is a really nice one so that we will want to get on. Ill let you know how it goes!!! Wish us luck!

Grandmother

Well I did go visit my almost unknown Grandmother. Friday night the kids and I went. I knocked on the hospital door and asked her if she knew who I was and she did- she said Jessica? right? It was a bit akward as her husband was there which I never had met. It was quite hard to keep conversation going. She never has given you more than a few words at a time. I think the kids make her nervous cuz she's never really been around many. She seems very upset about that she has cancer- of course, who wouldnt. Im waiting to be alone with her to really talk. We dont get much out of her regarding her health so I dont how much time I have. Wish me luck!

Ford Update!

As of today, the news is Wayne has denied our grievance request to return to basic unit rights. Human resource in Wayne denied it- dont know why but they are appealing it and sending it to National and said it will take at least a month to get to the right person. So again we wait- which we are getting pretty good at! Matt continues to work at Maumee, hopefully until they close which is this Sept. So we will be thankful for everyday he works and pray the Lord reveals his plans!! I know there is a plan and a reason this is all taking so long!

Here's the damage

Casted!

Picture to come, here's the update. Kenzie has a full cast from her fingers to her elbow. She broke her distal radius, which is her inner wrist. She will be casted for at least 3 weeks. She chose a red cast for the Buckeyes!!!

Bad Mother Award

I guess I get the Bad Mother Award Kenzie fell two Sat. ago off her scooter and landed on her wrist, she cried and complained of course, but there were no bruises, scrapes, red, swelling- NOTHING!!! She was due to go to camp on Monday and I thought about calling the Dr But thought no- we'd see something. So finally today I called the Dr. a week and a half later and her arm or wrist are fractured- I dont know much yet. We have to go to an Orthipedatic surgeon today. So there may be no volleyball and softball coming up! I'll update you later!

Estranged Grandmother

My dad has recently been in contact with his estranged mother who only lives less than 10 miles away. We have tried to contact her over the years and no one really knows what her deal is other than she had a strange life. She left when my dad was a teen and remarried and pretty much has always made excuses that she was too busy. I have contacted her many times over the years and tried to witness to her, tried to get her to join the family and let her know that no matter happened we forgive her and we can start over again and that there is no reason to abandoned yourself. She agreed 7 years ago to visit after Christmas, it was pretty quiet cuz she doesnt communicate. So for awhile she sent cards at holidays and that was it. I would invite her to stuff but she was busy.
My dad called her a few weeks ago on her B-day to see if she wanted to go to breakfast but she said she doesnt eat breakfast, so he said well how about lunch, and she said well I dont really eat lunch just a glass of milk, so he said well how about I just come over and she said yeah- Id like to see you. So he visited for an hour cuz it was pretty much not much to talk about.
Well he found out she has inoperable colon cancer. All week Ive debated wether to go visit her, Ive been thinking about it since Christmas but couldnt decide wether to visit , call, write. So I think I will go visit. I saddens my that my dad had to have that kind of relationship especially since he probably hasnt probably told us how he really feels about it. I keep thinking what if something happens we will never know what her deal was- but we may still never know. I would like to ask her if she knows what is after this life but Im afraid Im going to get mad at her. I tend to get mad when I know im right and someone doesnt listen- I know I cant make them and its their choice but I feel like what if know one ever tried to get thru to her?

Off to 5th Grade Camp!

Kenzie set off this morning for 5th Grade camp. Too bad it wasn't last week! The weather doesn't look so great!

All parents were scared this morning as last week one of our 5th graders got her two front PERMANENT teeth knocked out of her mouth!!!!!!

I felt horrible for this girl and family! That is one of my biggest fears- my kids will loose perm teeth!!! I glad it wasn't me that got the call!!! Kenzie was pretty freaked out as she was right there!

5th grade has been a weird year- I don't really like these preteen years. I hope they have a fun and safe time!!!
